The house in south London was in a Victorian town. It was spacious and artistic. Whenever you look at it, you admire it. This house was occupied by a couple Berthas cool and Donald Lamb with two children Amy 13 years & Mona 11 years. The house was located on the conservative area. It was situated at the end of the road, and after looking around may be classified as original conservatory on the first floor.

The couple was willing to have an extra bathroom for their children. When they came to know that there is no need to demolish the old conservatory, the recognized this would be the perfect, if unusual place to put it. Five years are a long period, when Christy & Burton moved into their new five room house in Surrey, they wanted to change the bathroom. Burton had painted the tiles, but it has not been changed since 20 years, so they look dull and dumb. Their shining has been faded. Nothing is sparkling and coming out. So the couple want to change it for a now and bold look. Their children also want everything nice and delicate.

After a long laborious work, Christy told that we want a modern and silky bathroom and want to remove the entire pipeline out of sight, because those were look odd and clumsy. The room was small and congested so we want to make a slim line suite to feel that the room is wide and broad. After a long discussion we decided to use biscuit-color mosaic tiles on four walls. I also think that a neutral bathroom may look tiring. So we change our idea and painted one wall in deep red.

We didn’t carry out the work without any planning; I took a paper and ballpoint and make a drawing of the work. An idea came to mind that we set the bath to the back of the room under the window, but another thing came to my mind that this practice will make the room short. Finally we decided to convert it to a shower room. That was the only bathroom in the house we think that keeping a bath will increase the resale value. It was better not to change the basic layout of the bathroom. By working over these lines we may save our money and make the house compact. The length of the wall was not taking the full length; we may build a false wall to hide the pipes and other things behind it.

Although the tiling around the wall took more time, the working didn’t produce any problem for us. The final touch was the red coating of the color. It was nicely done and didn’t look odd. Everybody admire this finishing. I loved this red color wall, because this was my idea and carefully done. Surely it made a nice contrast with the biscuit color walls. I also painted the window curtain with the same color to make a contrast.

The total work took near about two weeks in finishing, because Burton did it himself in his week holidays. He was satisfied with the plumber way of working. When ever I took bath in this new room, I feel that we overlooked the ceiling. That was in white texture. I planned for the next time to change its color.

After working myself I get this lesson that anybody should not hesitate to do the work. Do it with confidence, and commanding manner. In bath and kitchen I used a special kind of paint which was moisture proof. It could be wiped easily. I suggest the others to use it definitely. It gives a nice result.

After achieving your romantic goal, you become anxious how you can stay over nightly at any hotel and make the event long lasting in your memory.
